Welcome to OC HOC
The Orange County Housing Opportunities Collaborative (OC HOC) is a coalition of HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Nonprofit Agencies, fair housing, social service, city and local government representatives including business associations and other nonprofits that promote housing opportunities. Started in June 2007, and originally known as OC HOPC, OC HOC's mission is to promote and preserve the dream of home ownership through outreach, education, counseling, and financing. OC HOC is the Orange County Hub and a program of the Housing Opportunities Collaborative (HOC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting of HUD approved housing counseling agencies, community and nonprofit organizations, and city jurisdictions that support all aspects of homeownership and housing rights and responsibilities. The mainstay for OC HOC is assisting distressed homeowners with resolving their housing issues and we do that best with our Free Home Preservation and Homebuyer Orientation Workshops. The goal of OC HOC’s Home Preservation Workshops is to provide a one-stop center for various housing counseling services, which includes: access to information about foreclosure prevention options, bankruptcy, real estate violations, foreclosure scams and fraud, and, referrals to law enforcement agencies if criminal violations have occurred to help give homeowners additional relief. Also, group presentations on foreclosure prevention options including loan modifications, repayment plans, short sales, deed in lieu; credit issues, bankruptcy, and consumer protection resources are also provide by OC HOC nonprofit partners that are all HUD-Certified Housing Counseling Agencies. OC HOC also provides housing education and resources on the Home Buying process, Recovery After Foreclosure and Housing Industry trainings to keep up to date on the latest programs. OC HOC welcomes you and looks forward to providing you with the most comprehensive housing information.
